Hollywood Carbon Laser Facial with Elanlaserclinics
I have to be totally honest I was a little nervous about going for this treatment. Why is that? I hear you cry, well it’s because firstly I’d not had a laser treatment done on my face before & secondly I knew I was filming it to show you & also filming myself which I don’t normally do. So I actually had butterflies in my stomach on the way there in the car!!
Needless to say as soon as I arrived my butterflies disappeared. The team at Elan were so friendly & welcoming, Lauren who did my treatment was so lovely & talked me through the whole process & what to expect.
Elan offers a selection of laser treatments & I opted for the Carbon Facial Treatment (also known as the Hollywood Facial) which helps with skin rejuvenation, unclogging & resurfacing & is suitable for all skin types. There is also the huge bonus of “No Down Time” after this treatment which for me was really important as a busy mum.
So after Lauren removed my make up (They use Murad, Skinceuticals & Dermaquest products) She did a cleanse laser which preps your skin for the mask, she then applied the carbon mask & kindly took a photo because at this point I couldn’t see a thing as I was wearing the eye mask. The next stage is called a Q switch laser which is run over the skin & actually removes the carbon mask. It clears pores,stimulates skin, exfoliates the upper layers of skin & breaks down any skin pigmentation.
The final stage is to ensure all the carbon mask is fully removed by increasing the frequency of the laser until the mask is removed (it’s totally painless btw, just a slight tingle) Then a final stage of hydration & SPF for Amazing Glowing Skin!
Let me tell you my skin felt INCREDIBLE after this treatment & it still feels INCREDIBLE now two weeks later. I’m absolutely over the moon with the results!
I would definitely have this done again ( I’m thinking Christmas or birthday gifts) I can’t actually believe the difference it made, my skin feels super super smooth, silky & glowy!
